A Job passed down from Father to Son
In the 1980s, the brothers Luc and Mario Giroux followed in the footsteps of their father. They gradually acquire various skills and techniques required for fulfilling their tasks. They started out as fibreglass wool installation technicians, and then specialized in laying insulation and caulking products, both in residential, commercial and industrial construction sectors.

In the highly regulated and specialized field of construction, the Giroux brothers have made over the years their mark thanks to their expertise and their ongoing concern for their conscientiousness. The Giroux Brothers launch their own businesses: Isolation Girbec Inc.
Drawing on their extensive experience, conscientious work ethic and ambition, Luc and Mario Giroux feel the need to start their own businesses and founded Isolation Girbec à Blainville in 1997. Very quickly, through their expertise and strong reputation, they land many contracts and rapidly filled their order sheets without even having a field representative. The quality of their work is already praised by general contractors, as they know that every job will be correctly done, and they do not hesitate to entrust them with many projects.

Consistent with their values and faithful to their habits, the Giroux brothers don’t leave much unturned and applied stringent quality controls right from the earliest days to confirm the quality of their work and to reinforce the reputation of the teams they trained to help them. As predicted by their customers, Girbec became a major player in the insulation and soundproofing industry.
To Cope With Demand, the Company Needs to Expand
The Company’s growth led to the acquisition of a new ultra-modern warehouse on Rue Gaston-Dumoulin in the Blainville Industrial Park. The company operates now as a fleet of six vehicles, including two specialized trucks to respond quickly and efficiently to the needs of its growing clientele.

Our company is always environmentally friendly and aware of its ecological footprint, therefore we are proudly using green solutions in terms of insulation and soundproofing.
For sprayed polyurethane, we selected HEATLOCK® SOYA from Demilec, a Quebec company based in Boisbriand. This product is made from recycled plastic bottles and renewable products such as soybean oil. It has Zero Ozone Depletion Substance (ZODS) and exceeds all Canadian environmental standards. This product is renowned for its superior insulating quality, which significantly improves energy consumption. It is a very low VOC emission material and is eligible for LEED-certified building construction.
For cellulose, we selected Igloo Cellulose. A product manufactured in Quebec that uses up to 85% recycled paper and 15% non-toxic products. It is a 100% natural product that contains no emanations from harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and that is non-irritating, anti-corrosive, anti-frizz and antivermin. Igloo Cellulose does not ignite, is treated to be fire retardant and does not contain ammonium sulfate.
For wool mats, we selected Owens Corning PINK®Insulation products. Manufactured in Canada, it is using up to 73% recycled materials and up to 96% of its weight in natural materials is made of minerals and formaldehyde-free herbal products.
All three products are GREENGUARD Gold certified and eligible for LEED-certified and low VOC building construction.

The Canadian EcoLogo Program (also known as the Environmental Choice Program) helps you recognize certified products and services independently as meeting stringent environmental standards that reflect their complete manufacturing lifecycle. EcoLogo standards are developed so that only 20% of only the major products available on the market can achieve certification. More than 7,000 products, from paint to paper, bear this logo.

Since 2002, the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) and LEED Canada have contributed to redefining buildings and sustainable communities across the country.
